Hello World

I built a site and now I have a writing section, so I guess I should write something.

I don't have a content plan. I'm not trying to build an audience. This is a place to think through things I'm working on or figuring out — technical problems, career stuff, whatever's on my mind. Mostly for me. If it's useful to someone else, great.

I've noticed that when I try to explain something I'm working on, I realize how many gaps I'm filling in on the fly. Writing slows that down. It forces me to actually know what I think instead of just having a vague sense of it.

I'm graduating from Rice in May, moving to San Francisco in July. A lot is about to change. It seems like a good time to start keeping track.
